Your family is awesome. But spending time with them isn’t. “Family time” is one of the reasons the holiday season is so excruciatingly painful (well, that and the realization that you look more and more like your parents with each passing year).

Unlike some people, television vows to always love you unconditionally, so here are ten TV characters who would make better company than your own flesh and blood during the holidays.
