Open since 1964 in various incarnations, Rosie's is called a Tahoe tradition. They state their objective as filling the void between fine dining and fast food. And they do that with an exhaustive menu featuring eggs, pancakes, hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, lasagna, jambalaya and more. Specialties include the chorizo scramble and Yankee pot roast. It's all served in Rosie's cozy space, with a huge fireplace, exposed timber and a full bar (with happy hour from 4-6 p.m. daily). Ancient skis and bikes complete the Tahoe charm, and there's a game room with air hockey upstairs.
