Strip Club Dining: Goldfinger
The biggest draw at Goldfinger, which recently opened on Telegraph Street near the airport, comes from the tableside dining at the Trophy Room restaurant. French chef Jacques (above), who has been doing tableside work since he moved to New York in the '50s.
The man has taught many tableside chefs who work in Reno today, including those at Harrah’s Steakhouse. Whether it’s a flaming Café Diablo or a fresh Caesar salad, Jacques will roll his cart up to your table and prepare your dish in a flamboyant style that few can match.
The Trophy Room restaurant, which is adorned with big game trophies such as a giant ostrich and a polar bear, also has a standard dinner menu with prime rib, steak and Maine lobster prepared by the executive chef Trevor. Prices range from $25-$70. The restaurant is located away from the main dance floor and plans are being made for a back entrance so diners can avoid any chance of nudity if they just want to have dinner. Trophy Room meals are served anywhere in the club, including the second floor lounge.
