Been there twice now and both times, they were slammed. When I asked one owner whether it was busy like that all the time he said, "Yeah, it's been like this ever since we opened." Lucky dogs!! The owners are brilliant to have come up with this idea. I was chatting with another customer as we sat eating at the counter along the wall and we both agreed it's a perfect business because hot dogs taste like junk food -- and I mean that in the very nicest way; I love junk food -- and yet you can eat it without feeling really bad about it. The owners and their staff work very hard, which impresses me. They're out there on the front lines, instead of just dropping in to "supervise." And the dog I get is so incredibly good. (I ordered the same thing both times because, the first one was so good, why change?) I get the all-beef dog (nitrate- and hormone-free) on an onion poppy seed bun with onions, mustard, turkey chili and shredded cheddar. It fills you up and makes you feel happy for hours.
