Deep mahogany tables, spacious booths, dim lighting and wall paintings lend the bistro feel to P.F. Chang’s name. Lunchtime is perfect for a quick business bite, and dinner here lends itself to a getting-to-know-you-date over the dimly lit table and expansive wine list. The chain eatery is popular, and thus often crowded, but there’s a reason for the crowds, namely their signature Chinese dishes that boast a touch of contemporary flair. Portions are big enough to share between two or will leave you some to take home after dinner, depending on how hungry you are. Servers are knowledgeable about the menu and always willing to accommodate substitutions and personal preferences. They’ve just introduced a new line of dessert “shooters,” various sinfully sweet concoctions in overlarge shot glasses that are small enough that won’t make you feel like you need to take a trip to the gym to work it off.
