We're awash in sushi, like a tidal wave hit the west coast and just plowed on to Reno, bringing the raw fish with it ... and arranging it pleasingly on wads of rice.
There's a certain pleasure in the all-you-can-eat arrangement, with the freedom to try anything and make it your one meal of the day, but some of the best rolls can be found on à la carte menus. If you think we left out a deserving nominee, let us hear about it!

Oceano at the Peppermill

Reno, NV 89502The Peppermill's seafood restaurant, Oceano, is an underwater paradise (but not literally, of course). The decor is a spectacular sight with a massive curved fish tank that is home to brightly colored coral, custom jellyfish lights hanging from the ceiling, blue neon lights shaped like huge waves, and a myriad sea creatures throughout the large space. Seafood is the main draw, but other offerings include a seared steak sandwich, chicken parmesan, and chipotle shrimp enchiladas. A sushi and oyster bar sits at the back of the space where incredible yoshi rolls are served up. An extensive wine list is offered, as well as more than a dozen kinds of sake.

The restaurant offers a modern feel with its bright orange walls and plentiful bar seating, where you can watch the chefs make your sushi. Sushi Sake at Eldorado

Reno, NV 89501Replacing Roxy's patio, Sushi Sake is Eldorado's entry into the sushi bar world. Roxy's chef is also in charge here, focusing on the rice foundation and then indulging flights of fancy with the fillings. The place has contemporary design with Asian touches, just a few feet away from the fountain between Eldorado and Silver Legacy. Happy hours offer half off a la carte rolls from 5-6 p.m. and 9-10 p.m. All you can for Fridays and Saturdays is $24.99.

Sorry can't agree with this one, Oceano ... really? Been several times, the Salmon Roe tastes weird, and the variance of the cooks abilities is too...
