Reno, NV 89501This Mexican restaurant and cantina is a great place to enjoy good Mexican food and a relaxed atmosphere. The place also offers salsa and merengue dancing at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The menu features huevos rancheros and omelets for breakfast and a wide variety of items for dinner.

Reno, NV 89502Open since 1959, many a Reno-ite grew up on Miguel's before there were so many choices in Mexican food. The menu varies from seafood to fajitas, but the owners don't use the word "authentic" Mexican. Be that as it may, you can still get a bowl of menudo. Cheese and onion enchiladas are also a draw. For lighter appetites that go easy on the budget, small plates with a taco, chile relleno or enchilada come with rice and beans. Large windows at Miguel's look right out onto bustling Virginia Street.
Taqueria La Michoacana

Reno, NV 89502Taqueria La Michoacana offers authentic Mexican food 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This self-service restaurant offers a large dining area and a few arcade games. The simple menu is posted at the cash register in English and Spanish. A large choice of meats are offered, including beef, stomach pork, spicy pork, chicken, tongue, and head. If you enjoy seafood, shrimp is available in soup, a tostada, or shrimp cocktail. Beverages on the menu include soft drinks, flavored waters, malts and fresh juice. Catering and banquet service also are available.

Lupita's Mexican Restaurant & Bar

Sparks, NV 89431Quality food, big portions and excellent prices make this authentic neighborhood Mexican restaurant one to remember. You know its authentic when the menu is in Spanish (though English translations are provided), you can chat with your server in Spanish and futbol is playing on the TVs. Lupita's occupies a small, inviting space, with one side devoted to a full bar in case youre just looking to knock back a Pacifico or margarita.

I agree with travasu~Murrietta's has been around a long time and has consistently been excellent mexican food. How could it not be on the list?!?!

How is Murrietta's not on this list? Good food & the one in South Reno is a nice restuarant.
