LuLou's is widely regarded as one of the region's best restaurants. Chef Troy Cannan helms the kitchen here (and also is the executive chef of the Eldorado Hotel Casino); wife Coleen Cannan oversees the dining room at LuLou's top-notch service. The menu offers seasonal dishes spiked with Asian, Indian and other international flavors. Think a West Coast take on a snarl of mee grob, the Thai fried noodle classic; pan-seared foie gras anointed with yuzu caramel sauce; and salade Lyonnaise reinterpreted with ahi and crisp potato "croutons." LuLou's also serves excellent cocktails in minimalist-hip bar featuring flickering votive candles, low slung couches, conversation cubes and unisex loos. In warm weather, sip wine and nibble small plates in the high-walled courtyard that feels far away from the busy street fronting the restaurant.
