The Felice Brothers and a few thousand other bands descend on Austin...and we bravely try to capture it all
Another South by Southwest is in the books, and this one was pretty epic. Metromix avoided falling camera equipment (at an OMD show, which injured four people), crashed barricades (at a Strokes concert), and Kanye West's ego (at the Vevo Power Station, the year's most hyped event) en route to attending parties and showcases hosted by the likes of Time Out, KCRW, Atlantic Records, Perez Hilton and Rachael Ray. We interviewed 10 artists and shot more than 20 others, including (in order of appearance, after the interviews):
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.
The Smith Westerns
Raphael Saadiq
Duran Duran
Lenka
The Ferocious Few
Fitz and the Tantrums
Wiz Khalifa
Janelle Monae
Capsula
The Airborne Toxic Event
Lance Herbstrong
The Fleshtones
The Bravery
J. Roddy Walston and the Business
Wanda Jackson
The Felice Brothers (pictured)
Bright Eyes
Electric Touch
Tres Mts.
The Pretty Reckless
Oh Land
Dirty Vegas
