March beckons, and so do the Academy Awards, which aren't exactly known for pushing the cultural envelope with controversial nominations, especially in the perenially safe Best Original Song category. For every win by an Eminem or a "Jai Ho," there have been dozens by Hollywood soundtrack regulars like Randy Newman, who's nominated again this year—twice!—for his contributions to "The Princess and the Frog."
