From a New Zealander pop singer-songwriter to a Mexican one we go, but Venegas can claim far greater accomplishments in her more mature career. A Grammy winner, she gives us this fifth studio LP after a four-year wait (not counting her “MTV Unplugged” set from 2008). Venegas spent her time wisely, as this disc sounds equally inspired and accessible.
