The Knitting Factory, part of the chain that operates venues in L.A. and New York, opened Dec. 31 for New Year's and hosts virtually all types of concerts. It took over the long-vacated Rocky's location on Virginia Street. Right in the middle of downtown, the music venue usually allows all ages to its show while offering a full bar and even a restaurant.
