Grand Sierra Resort and Casino: User Reviews
Grand Sierra Resort and Casino
2500 E. Second St. - Reno775-789-2000
I'm not a big fan of downtown Reno. I prefer the Grand Sierra Resort because it's close, but far enough from downtown to filter out the seedy people. I also love the fact that Grand Sierra Resort does not cage you into their resort with tinted windows, flashing lights and mirror walls (classic casino psychology).
I love hitting up the golf driving range, bowling, and the arcade. Nikki Beach (pool party club) is a MUST in the summer; there's no venue like it in Reno or Lake Tahoe. Additionally, they have a nightclub inside called Pearl Champagne Lounge which is very fun to hang with friends. They also have a country bar, which is always packed.
The all-you-can-eat buffet is unbeatable for locals, $7.77! Oh, and free drinks for the ladies at 2500 East of Fridays (I think it's Fridays?) is way cool. Guys get cheap draft beer on Fridays as well.
Overall, for a local casino I like Grand Sierra because it's chill, well priced, and has enough for locals to do, in one place.
