“I think high school is always difficult. Mostly because I think people get betrayed. From my experiences it was about betrayal, it’s about giving somebody some information that they don’t know what to do with so they give it to somebody else. It’s that thing, where the minute you express an opening, those first feelings of love and attraction, and then somebody else tells on you. Or you do something with somebody and then they tell somebody and then other people find out. That to me was what high school was really tricky about, navigating that.”
