Week 2: August 19 - Thor rehearses scene with stunt double
Marvel's superhero extravaganza "The Avengers" promises to unite Iron Man, Captain America, the Incredible Hulk and Thor on screen for the first time.
Directed by Joss Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson, the hotly anticipated movie is due out May 4, 2012.
"The Avengers" is scheduled to shoot in multiple U.S. locations throughout summer 2011. These photos are from an August shoot in Cleveland that used the Ohio city as a stand-in for the destruction of New York City.
