From reality television to real restaurants
By Katherine Spiers, Special to Metromix
"Top Chef" is one of the rare reality shows with a consistently talented cast, no matter what season. Not to say that there haven’t been a few duds (whose names we don’t care to remember), but even the chefs who don’t take home the top prize can do pretty well for themselves post-show. Here are 15 of our favorite "Top Chef" restaurants, the ones that fans flock to long after the bright reality TV lights have turned off.
(N.B.: Season six winner Michael Voltaggio isn’t on the list, only because he recently quit his job in Pasadena, California and hasn’t started a new restaurant yet. But we’re watching you, Michael. And we’ll find you.)
