The big question is always where to watch "the Big Game." Well, viewing choices for the Super Bowl (Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. on NBC) are pretty much wide open.
Just about every casino will have the NFL championship showing throughout, with different specials and giveaways. Anyplace calling itself a sports bar will of course have it, with particular emphasis on the many, many Bully's in the area. But any bar that even has a TV will be hard pressed to find something better on.
Some big casino parties with tons of free food (once you've paid admission) include:
- In addition to the Biggest Little Tail Gate Party the day before, the Silver Legacy hosts a huge party at the National Bowling Stadium, starting at 2 p.m. for $35.
- The Peppermill hosts a large party in the Tuscany Ballroom starting at 1:30 p.m. for $45
- The Sands Regency kicks off its party at 1:30 p.m. and charges $40.
- Lucky's Race and Sports Book at the Grand Sierra Resort is posting, uh, interesting prop bets, such as "Which will be higher: pass attempts by the two quarterbacks or the high temperature in Tampa Bay?"
Of course, there are always those folks determined to find something else to watch ...
