Sand Harbor State Park

Sand Harbor has decent beach space for you and your friends to frolic, but, as home of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, it’s called the most scenic theater in the world for a reason. During the annual summer fest, the Bard’s plays are delivered with Tahoe’s blue water as a backdrop. Fine foods and alcohol are available on site, but you’re encouraged to bring all your own food to complement the beach-style seating. Witness great performances, see beautiful sunsets and wine and dine at this sandy enclave. The beach itself is perfect for relaxing, wading and snorkeling.
