Opened in 2005, the Reno Events Center serves as a mixed-purpose venue with a 7,000-person capacity. Sporting events, concerts and conventions make up the bulk of the events, with concerts leading the pack. It's a cavernous building that often plays well to concerts, but not always. In its short history, the place has been host to a number of acts including Kanye West, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Rush, Motley Crue, Larry the Cable Guy, Bob Dylan and Carrie Underwood.
