A well-thought out selection of wines & beer, ambience and a fresh selection of ambient electronica: West Street Wine Bar has its clients in mind. On a Saturday, the owner who welcomed me didn't stress when I said that I didn't even know if I wanted a glass of wine.... I just wanted to see what they had. Upon perusing their selection, which had a range of prices/selection and even 2.5 ounce "Tastes" (perfect for experimentation), I decided to delve into a Taste of Italian Barbera. Oh delicious. Now I want something different! Another Taste, this time of another Italian variant, can't remember what, a recommendation of the bartender. It was rustic, but not too, like the gestalt of rustic. I think while I was having my wine tasting epiphany, Rick, the owner, seemed to beam a little and handed me a great big wine book that I could skim through while sniffing and slurping. "I" Italy, I could look it all up, while trying it, cool. I'm hooked.

There are ove 40 wines by the glass and some great imported beers. Great place to have a drink after work or dinner...cool musice, great vibe.
