Spoken Views Poetry Open Mic

Jan. 19 is the grand re-opening of the Spoken Views open mic poetry night. It's now at the Studio, located above the Spy Shop on South Virginia Street. The night showcases local spoken word artists and slam poetry. Nights usually have a featured poet and even a musical guest.

Sign up at 7 p.m. for five minutes on stage, and entry is always free for those who want to perform. Show begins at 8 p.m.
