Norma Jean screams loud and clear at New Oasis
The New Oasis was once a bowling alley, but you'd never know it walking through the dim confines of this all-ages concert venue with a capacity of just under 1,000. The big plus here is that there's a full bar for the 21-and-older crowd, but the shows are usually open to all ages. The venue plays host to both Latin music and a bevy of indie, hip-hop and punk-rock shows. Past performers include Atmosphere, Ministry, Boxcar Racer, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Hank Williams III, Nas and Dropkick Murphys.
