Great Bar is they turned the music down.

I really like this bar, the room is nice and the decor is funny. They just need to turn the ef-ing music down! I would rate this bar 5 stars if they did. The setup of the bar makes you want to sit down and converse, but the music is so loud that you have to step outside into the cold if you want to talk. Dear Ryan Gold and Justin Owen: turn the music down in your bars, if you want a night club in Reno then by all means go open one.

Not the Cadillac Lounge which became the Liquid Lounge which closed

This used to be the Jazz Club which was a weird ironic thing, because there was no jazz inside just rock. Well, there's no Lincoln cars inside but there's pictures of President Lincoln. I wouldn't call the interior posh. It's antique Victorian like. Posh is like Divine Ultra. And Americans don't say posh anyway unless they're referring to spice girls. There's two rooms, and in back there's shuffleboard. The front room is nice and dimly lite. I hate lights in a bar like you're in a grocery store. It's a nice, casual, mellow bar with a good beer selection. The problem I have is that from the outside it looks like it's closed all the time. I guess if you don't want anyone to think you're open or that you're a bar, that's your problem, and that seems to attract regulars, and if you want just regulars, good for you. I prefer a bar that looks like one from the outside, at least looks open, and doesn't look like a museum on the inside. But some people like that, so good for them. A good mellow place to hang with friends. It seems less shady than when it was the Jazz Club which is a good thing. I think the nice antique furniture scares off the crazies on E 4th Street. Well that and the fact that it doesn't look like a bar or that it's open.

My favorite place in Reno

As the review above states, it's hard to tell if this place is open, but if the tiny green light above the door is on, you're golden. The place is small and lovely inside. It's usually calm and chill in there, although it can get full pretty quickly. The flocked wallpaper and bird prints and local artists make the place one-of-a-kind.
