I went to my first drag queen how on saturday I had to drag my girl friend there I mentioned it to my 21 year old daughter she showed up too We all had a blast the drag queens are all so beautiful and what talent My daughter and I decided we wanted to be drag queens but soon realized we couldnt we were mere girls sad for us.

I don't really remember my first time going to the '9 but I do know that the first time I spent a significant amount of time there, all my preconceived notions of the place were dispelled. This bar is often written off as a gay bar, a drag bar, a bar for older folks. But those generalizations do the bar a disservice. Yes there are gay men and women who frequent this bar, yes there are fairly regular drag shows at this bar and yes there are older folks who come here, but there are also straight men and women who frequent the bar (and not just on the monthly swingers parties), the drag shows only last about 90, and the old people can party with the best of them. And lets not forget the groups of college kids that will just drop in for a scavenger hunt, or a pub crawl or a bachelor party and mix things up. The bartenders serve up just the right mix of attitude and fun while pouring a mean cocktail. In all, while weekdays maybe mellow, the weekends never disappoint.
