LMFAO’s songs are sex-soaked party anthems, and they strive to live their mantra “party rock.” Making life a party 24/7 might be an enviable goal, but it’s a hard work for a pair of DJs trying to break out in the club scene.

“Party Rock,” the debut album of Redfoo and Sky Blu, will be out April 1. Until then, they are finishing the actual tracks, promoting the hell out of themselves with daily YouTube videos (Including four shots of Bacardi 151 after losing a Super Bowl bet) and touring heavily to clubs across the country, including a show at Pearl on Saturday.

But the work has started to pay off, with Interscope signing the underground artists and recent appearances on national TV.

The men collaborate during an interview from their Hollywood pad much as they have throughout their lives.

“We’ve always been a part of each other,” Redfoo said.

Though close in age, he is Sky Blu’s uncle, and they worked DJ sets together in Hollywood, with one spinning and the other acting as hype man for the crowd.

At the 2007 Winter Music Conference in Miami Beach, “we hung out for a week and partied and decided we could do this forever if we join up,” Redfoo said.

The partnership was cemented with a name, which is credited to Sky Blu’s grandmother.

LMFAO means ...

He told her one possible name over chat: Sexy Dudes. She typed back “LMFAO” because the name was so ridiculous that it made her “laugh my f---ing ass off.”

“Every time we told someone, they laughed, so it gave us the right response,” Redfoo said.

“Our parents tripped over it,” he said. “‘What is that? Lim-fay-oh?’ They really did not like the name at first, and that solidified it for us.”

More than just a joke, the name, and everything else about the group are designed to get a response. They wear their own clothing line, which sports the loudest colors known to man, and their thick-rimmed frames lack lenses. While they don’t look identical, their styles are so similarly outlandish that it’s helpful to note that Redfoo has more of a ‘fro, while Sky Blu does curls or cornrows.

In the club

Their flagship track has appropriately been “I’m in Miami Bitch” ("bitch" becomes "trick" for the radio), which Redfoo had been developing and Sky Blu helped wrap up.

“It was like a musical potluck,” Redfoo said. “You bring the songs you’ve been making, and I’ll bring mine.”

“I’m in Miami Bitch” can be found on iTunes and is a laid-back narration of beach-side debauchery. The video is full of skin and is receiving final edits from MTV.

Redfoo said he expects it to start airing in about a week, with Sky Blu chiming in, “Wherever it is they play music, now.”

LMFAO made their television debut on "Last Call with Carson Daly" on Jan. 20 (see below). Their music also will appear on MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” and “My Super Sweet 16,” and the pair heads to Cancun in March to be part of MTV’s spring break events.

Party for a living

It’s a little overwhelming,” Redfoo said. “When you look at our show schedule, it’s bananas.

“We love to do the afterparty after the shows and invite girls back to the hotel and to do the party bus, but for the first week on the road, we can’t afford to do that. We have to finish the record.”

Remix work only adds to their plate. An unsolicited remix of Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown” drew attention and fueled requests for the LMFAO treatment from artists like Katy Perry, Chris Cornell and David Rush.

But with a show at a casino, work might have to wait because of Sky Blu’s fondness for roulette.

“He thinks he’s cracked the wheel,” Redfoo said. “He’s got a system. But if he’s down before the show, he could be right back out there after.”

Even on the eccentric casino floor, Sky Blu at the tables would be a spectacle.

Mixing live

Though that project looms, and roulette tempts, the pair give their all during live sets, where they perform original songs, spin their remixes and keep the dance music flowing like any DJ would.

They scout the venue earlier in the day and start planning stage antics.

“We’re entertainment ninjas; we can adapt to anything,” Sky Blu said. “We see a landscape and we find out what we can do and where we can fit in.”

“We invite fans on the stage, we crowd surf, we have sets laid out,” said Redfoo. “But party rock means it’s a party. And you can only plan a party so far. The rest you make up as you go along.”

LMFAO performs Saturday at Pearl Champagne Lounge at the Grand Sierra Resort. Doors open at 10 p.m. and tickets are $15 in advance or $20 that night.

LMFAO perform "I'm in Miami Trick" on "Last Call with Carson Daly" on Jan. 20. No, "trick" is not as catchy.
