The Nevada Museum of Art houses touring exhibits and a permanent collection, plus a movie theater for special screenings. The otherwise serene mansion comes to life on First Thursday parties, with food, drink and local bands bringing the noise. Or during a normal day, stroll up to the roof top, where imposing sculptures keep watch over a beautiful view of suburbia. The cost is $10 general, $8 students and free to museum members.
